Fitness Equipment to be purchased for Futrell Park

On its way to becoming a premiere destination for wellness for all generations, Futrell Park is slated to gain another great amenity.

During senior resident workshops in the park, one thing that surfaced frequently was the desire for low-impact exercise opportunities. After drilling down on that desire and seeking feedback on specific designs, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County made a pledge to provide the city with the funding to purchase 5 units of exercise equipment to comprise a Fitness Trail.

They plan to ask City Council to accept the grant in an upcoming Council Meeting.
