City of Myrtle Beach approves addition of Splash Pad and Bathrooms

From City of Myrtle Beach Facebook post on 10/21/22:

The City of Myrtle Beach plans to build this splash pad at Futrell Park, 1100 Mr. Joe White Avenue. The large water feature was approved by the Community Appearance Board during the committee's meeting yesterday. The splash pad is the focal point of a larger renovation plan for the park, possibly including improved parking, a checkers area, a walking path, and more. The City of Myrtle Beach and community partners have hosted workshops with people who live in the neighborhood to get input on how to improve the park.

The splash pad will have four above-ground water features and two fountain features. The public splash pad will be a great gathering space for families to cool off during the hot months!
