Teens help clean up Futrell Park

By Aljay Mullings, Freshman at MB High School

“City parks serve, day in and day out, as the primary green spaces for the majority of Americans.”

On July 14, 2022, the teens at the Boys and Girls Club volunteered with the Parks & Rec Department at the City of Myrtle Beach to help clean up the pond at Futrell Park this past summer. The pond was disorganized, smelly, and filled with random junk. The group worked really hard and fast. We hope it stays clean and maintained after all that hard work.
